I enjoyed my visit last Friday night. I was lucky not to have a wait for a table. Had the biggest salad I have ever had. Great pricing too.

"Great Food - Great Price" PF Changs
| Close | More Info |
This location is hard to get a table for if you are a walk in during busy times. It does take reservations, which help quite a bit.
We were a rather large group of 10, which was great as we were able to sample a lot of the food by ordering many of the dishes. The meal was really fantastic, and everyone, from all ages, really enjoyed themselves. Total meal price was about $250 with drinks. All good...

"Wonderful Surprise" Kojis's Sushi and Shabu Shabu
| Close | More Info |
It is great when you end up in a restaurant from just walking in off the street and it turns out to be FANTASTIC. What a gem Koji's turned out to be... The sushi was great, the chicken terriyaki was great, and the shabu shabu idea of cooking your meat into a broth right in front of you is so much fun and unique - We absolutely loved it! You must try!

"Pleasant surprise" Alcatraz Brewing Co
| Close | More Info |
Went to this restaurant in a neat outdoor mall on the recommendation of the front desk employee of our hotel. I must say, bringing my 3 kids to this location made me initially think I was bringing them to a bar, but my fears were immediately eleviated once inside. Not only is it kid friendly, it has an extensive and unique kid menu featuring a bento box that lets the kids decide what to put in each compartment. I ended up with a salad and my husband with the fish tacos (really good) and I must say the whole experience was great. Good work Alcatraz.

""No Sushi for You!" -- In heavy German Accent" Sushi Nozawa
| Close | More Info |
THE FOOD IS INCREDIBLE... But like the sign says "Today's Special - Trust Me" is the actual Mantra of this place. The chef calls the shots here, and you go and just try what he gives you. It isn't cheap, but it is definitely an experience. The sushi Nazi is a character and fed me very well with things I would never have known or thought to order.
Only drawback is the atmosphere... very poor, but in a way ads to the character of this place.

"Awesome pub in San Pedro" giraffe
| Close | More Info |
Our large group had lunch here and it was very solid. The place is located busy store front laden street with plenty of traffic that seems to be on the verge of becoming trendy. Inside, you will find a truly authentic British pub, without the blimey accents! Dark wood walls, an authentic looking bar, a chalkboard with daily specials all add to the appeal.
We chose the Chips platter which was a combo of Icelandic cod, shrimp, calamari, and french fries. All of the fried items were well prepared so that they were crunchy but not oily or heavy. The accompanying tartar and cocktail sauces were ...

"Sooo many delis.... sooo little time" Brent's Deli
| Close | More Info |
There are so many great deli's in Los Angeles - Langer's, Canter's, Junior's, Nate & Al's. But Brent's Deli is far and away the best one IMO. You'd never know it from its meagerly non-assuming standings in a strip mall in Northridge, until you notice the amounts of people that flock here no matter the time of day. This might be my favorite deli AND restaurant in LA.

"Best in the West (of NYC)" Langer's
| Close | More Info |
Langer's is the best Deli in Los Angeles, possibly the best deli on the west side of Manhattan! That's why it's this place is considered an LA institution.
I mostly have the Reuben but the pastrami is delicious as well. The corned beef is unbelievable and melts in your mouth when combined with thei Langer coleslaw and Russian dressing. Everything is time tested and tastes nothing less than the best. I steer anyone in town from New York or Jersey to Langers because there really isn't anything else when it comes to a great deli.
The area is pretty sketchy, but when Langer's was found ...

"Fun Atmosphere" Angelini Osteria
| Close | More Info |
We ate here in the middle of December, on a Friday night. Angelina's was completely packed, which isn't hard to do as it is not a big space, but the service was so good we never felt like they were overwhelmed. The waiter recommended our wine, and suggested what to eat that turned out to all be fantastic. The pasta was wonderful, and the steak with arugula and shaved parmesan was outstanding. Ironically we had all been remarking how we didn't really care for the desserts in Italian restaurants, and we ended up absolutely blown away by their selection and awesome choices. We had sabayon with fr ...

"Fantastique!" Providence
| Close | More Info |
Providence is just a fantastic restaurant. It hits every note right from the greeting from the valet to the goodnight at the door on your way our. It is expensive but I went for a special occasion and was happy to spend every penny of our over $100 per person. Providence may very well be one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles at the moment.

"Uniquely Amazing" Osteria Mozza
| Close | More Info |
My wife and I ate at Osteria Mozza last Saturday night and had an absolutely unbelievable meal. We were able to get a reservation by calling in the morning for the same evening. We had one of the mozzarella appies with artichokes and currants that was possibly the best cheese dish I have ever eaten. Also had the steak with shaved parm and balsamic vinegar - it was awesome, don't miss it! Great service, and not too expensive considering its location. Will definitely repeat...

"Best on the PLANET!" Katsu-Ya
| Close | More Info |
I always visit Katsu-ya on Ventura Blvd in Studio City when in LA. The other locations in Brentwood just don't compare to the Ventura Blvd location. The honey hand rolls, the albacore, the sashimi specials - portions are large, quality always stellar, service excellent. Best of all are the SPICY TUNA OVER CRISPY RICE... I could just have that and be satisfied.

"A Treat that's worth every penny" Sushi Sasabune
| Close | More Info |
For the freshest fish on the Westside visit Sasabune on Wilshire. The dining room is nothing fancy, but the sushi (omakase only) never fails to impress. This low-key restaurant runs about $70 each for food and one drink, with tip and tax. An expensive, but worthwhile treat.
